Aspir (アスピル, Asupiru?, lit. Aspir) is a recurring offensive spell in the Bravely series. It is a generally weak attack that attacks one single target and restores the user's MP by the amount of MP damage dealt, though dealing no HP damage in the process. It is generally part of Black Magic or a related school of magic.

Etymology[]
Aspir comes from the term aspirate, meaning to suck something in, referring to the move's nature as sucking in a target's MP.
Aspir, also known as Osmose, originates from the Final Fantasy series, debuting in Final Fantasy II as a Black Magic spell, just as it is in the first two Bravely games. It is instead part of the Arcanist job in Bravely Default II, reflecting that job's nature as a variant of the Black Mage successor Magus, as well as Aspir's status as Arcane Magic in Final Fantasy XII, a school of magic with many similar abilities to Necromancy.
