The Eternia Region is a location in Bravely Default and Bravely Second: End Layer. It is the continent to the northwest, north of the Eisenberg Region. It is the resting place of the Crystal of Earth.

- Eternia Region
Located north of Eisenberg, northwest of Caldisla, and west of Florem, this region consists entirely of a large land mass with the highest elevations anywhere in Luxendarc. The steep encircling mountains make passage to and from the outside world quite difficult. Known as the Land of Immortality since ancient times, it is a realm shrouded in mystery.
Story[]
The Eternia Region was once known as the Kingdom of Eternia until the rise of the Crystal Orthodoxy, who ended the bloodlines of both the king and duke Lester DeRosso. For ages, the Orthodoxy ruled Eternia with House Geneolgia among its enforcers. Sage Yulyana, an inquisitor of the Orthodoxy who saw the corruption of his faith, orchestrated removing them as a world by developing the asterisks and used the highlands that formed as a cover to escape to the Yulyana Region to look after the vestals of the other lands.
Almost two decade ago, the Great Plague that wiped out a civilization resurfaced and gripped the world as the result of Gride Geneolgia insisting a boat holding a diseased carrier to make port in the region to acquire a recently unearthed idol of the hero Cú Chulainn. After Geist Grace's attempts to convince the Orthodoxy to quarantine the vessel were unheard, he attempts to help minimalize as much danger as he could in the rest of the world. When the Plague hits the Eternia Region as consequence, Orthodoxy shut its doors to outsiders to sequester itself with areas like the later renamed Gravemark Village suffering the resulting death count. This tragic event spurred the only clergyman who took Geist seriously, a disillusioned Braev Lee, to muster an army and march on the Orthodoxy.
The corrupt leaders and the Earth Vestal were deposed and Braev established a new government, converting the faith's headquarters into Eternian Central Command while learning to harness the power of the Earth Crystal to generate powerful white magic. Those among the Orthodoxy who survive the Anti-Crystalist attack take refuge in the city of Gathelatio, the majority like those of House Geneologia accepting their defeat and wiping out other noble houses that refused to accept surrender to the Anti-Crystalists like House Balestra.
Two and a half years after the events of Bravely Default, despite the actions of Denys Geneolgia, Agnès Oblige uses her title as pope of the Orthodoxy to ensure peace between both Gathelatio and Eternia.
