Fira (ファイラ, Faira?) is a recurring fire-elemental spell in the Bravely series. It is the second tier of the fire-elemental spells available to players in each installment. It deals moderate magic fire damage to enemies.

Fira is a level 3 Black Magic spell. It deals medium fire damage to one target. This spell can be group-cast. It costs 15 MP to use. It can be bought in Florem and Grandship for 800 pg.
The spell is used by Ominas Crowe in all battles against him except the first and last.
Fira is also a level 3 Sword Magic spell, learned from the same scroll. It imbues a weapon with a medium-power fire effect for ten turns. This will raise attack power by the amount of the magic effect. It costs 15 MP to use.
Bravely Second: End Layer[]
Fira is a level 3 Black Magic spell. It deals medium fire damage to one target and can be group-cast. It costs 25 MP to use. It can be bought in Ancheim, Yunohana, and Chompshire for 1600 pg.
The spell is used by Ominas Crowe when faced in the first loop of the game.
Bravely Default II[]
Fira is a Black Magic spell available at level 6 for the Black Mage job. The spell deals powerful fire-elemental magic damage on a target or all targets on the field. When combined with the Red Mage's Nuisance specialty passive, it has a chance of inflicting the Doom or Berserk status on the damaged target. It costs 38 MP to cast.

Etymology[]
The Fire series of spells originate from the Final Fantasy series of games. The spells were first introduced in the original Final Fantasy as Black Magic spells usable by the Black Mage and Red Mage jobs. In almost every installment, it is the first attack spell available for players to use.
Fire is the rapid oxidation of a material in the exothermic chemical process of combustion, releasing heat, light, and various reaction products.
The "-ra" suffix denotes it is the level two form of the base Fire spell.
