Fire in Bravely Default.
Fire (ファイア, Faia?) is a recurring fire-elemental spell in the Bravely series. It is the first fire-elemental spell that players often have access to, and also the first attack spell the player learns in most titles. It deals minor fire-elemental magic damage to enemies.

Fire is a level 1 Black Magic spell. It deals minor fire damage to one target and can be group-cast. It costs 5 MP to use. It can be bought in Caldisla, Yulyana Woods Needleworks, and Miasma Woods for 200 pg.
Ominas Crowe uses the spell against the party the first time he is fought.
A version of the Black Magic Fire is automatically used as a counter to single-target physical attacks 50% of the time with the Spell Fencer passive ability Firewall.
Fire is also a 1 Sword Magic spell, learned from the same scroll. It imbues a weapon with a low-power fire effect for ten turns. This will raise attack power by the amount of the magic effect. It costs 5 MP to use.
Ciggma Khint uses the spell in all battles against him except the last.
Bravely Second: End Layer[]
Fire is a level 1 Black Magic spell. It deals minor fire damage to one target and can be group-cast. It costs 10 MP to use. it can be bought in Al-Khampis and Chompshire for 400 pg.
Bravely Default II[]
Fire is a Black Magic spell available at level 1 for the Black Mage job. Due to Elvis having access to the Black Mage job the moment he joins the party, he already has access to the spell. The spell deals fire-elemental magic damage on a target or all targets on the field. It costs 15 MP to cast.
Lower leveled enemies are also able to use Fire in battle. The damage inflicted varies on whether it is single or group casted on the targets.
Bravely Default: Praying Brage[]
Fire was one of the first ability cards available for players to obtain. It dealt small fire damage to a single target.
A group version of Fire could also be obtained, dealing small fire damage to all targets present on the field.
Bravely Archive[]
Fire was an ability available to both the ☆ 2 and ☆ 3 versions of the Anna Deala unit. The ability dealt moderate fire damage to targets.

Etymology[]
The Fire series of spells originate from the Final Fantasy series of games. The spells were first introduced in the original Final Fantasy as Black Magic spells usable by the Black Mage and Red Mage jobs. In almost every installment, it is the first attack spell available for players to use.
Fire is the rapid oxidation of a material in the exothermic chemical process of combustion, releasing heat, light, and various reaction products.
