Hastega (ヘイスガ, Heisuga?, lit. Hasga) is a recurring spell in the Bravely series that raises speed to a greater extent than Haste, either by being applied to the whole party or by applying a stronger effect to one target. It is generally part of Time Magic or a related magic skillset.

Hastega is a level 4 Time Magic spell. It raises all allies' speed by 50%, up to a maximum of 150% the original speed, for four turns. It costs 32 MP to use. It can be purchased in Starkfort for 400 pg.

Hastega is a Divination spell, learned at job level 12 for the Oracle. It makes a target able to act a lot more quickly for three turns. It costs 70 MP to use.

Etymology[]
Hastega comes from the Final Fantasy series, introduced as a Time Magic spell in Final Fantasy V that was an upgrade to Haste, applying the speed boost to the whole party. This function and role as part of Time Magic is reflected in both of the first two Bravely games.
