Heat (ブレイジング, Bureijingu?, lit. Blazing) is a Spirit Magic spell in Bravely Second: End Layer which deals fire-elemental magic damage to all enemies. Its potency increases proportional to M.Atk and INT, and its properties can be augmented with the use of Spellcraft. It costs 5 MP to use. It can be bought in Gathelatio and Chompshire for 200 pg.
Due to Bravely Second's unique manner of handling jobs from the previous game, Heat serves as the game's initial method of inflicting fire magic damage until the player gains access to Fire magic from either the Red Mage or Black Mage jobs.
The Dark Vestal Bella uses the spell in the first battle against her, combining it with the Spellcraft Arrow and Wall. She drops a free copy of the scroll upon being defeated.
Etymology[]
Heat is the all the energy of the random motion of molecules in a substance. A fire releases a large amount of such energy, which is heat, explaining the connection between the name of the spell and its element.
