Lightning (ライトニング, Raitoningu?) is a Spirit Magic spell in Bravely Second: End Layer which deals lightning-elemental magic damage to all enemies. Its potency increases proportional to M.Atk and INT, and its properties can be augmented with the use of Spellcraft. It costs 5 MP to use. It can be bought in Gathelatio and Chompshire for 200 pg.
Due to Bravely Second's unique manner of handling jobs from the previous game, Lightning serves as the game's initial method of inflicting lightning magic damage until the player gains access to Thunder magic from either the Red Mage or Black Mage jobs.
Nikolai uses the spell as his primary magical means of attack, using it in all battles with him after the first one. He generally casts it twice with his Good Measure specialty.
