Etymology[]
The Quake series of spells originate from the Final Fantasy series of games. The spell was first introduced in the original Final Fantasy as a form of instant death magic. However, later installments starting from Final Fantasy V began giving Quake the earth-elemental damage trait. Its upgraded forms, Quara and Quaga, did not make their formal series appearance until Final Fantasy VII.
