Etymology[]
While Quickga was introduced in Bravely Default, the spell Quick originates from the Final Fantasy series, where it originally appeared as a Time Magic spell in Final Fantasy V that stopped time for all but the user, allowing them to take extra turns. However, the function of increasing the hit count of one ally in the Bravely series is similar to the original function of the Haste spell in the original Final Fantasy.
The "-ga" suffix denotes it is an upgraded form of the hit count-boosting Quick spell.
