Sir Owen (オーウェン, Ōuen?) is a non-player character in Bravely Default. He is the son of the Innkeeper Karl in Caldisla. As a child, he wanted to become a royal guard to serve and protect his country out of love for it, so he always trained to become one. He eventually got his wish, performing great deeds and becoming the captain of the guard.

A brave young man who serves as captain of the guard in Caldisla. He nursed Tiz after the Great Chasm struck. He is the son of Karl the innkeep.
A 24-year-old man from Caldisla. The only son of Karl the innkeep, as a boy he longed to become a royal guard out of love for his country. He performed many great services, demonstrating his unmatched valor, and he is now captain of the guard.

Story[]
Owen was the child of an innkeeper named Karl. He was described as a frail child and looked down upon by his father for it. Owen did not wish to remain weak or to be an innkeeper like his father but instead serve his country. He trained hard and became a guard who eventually made it to captain. He first made a name for himself by killing a boar during a hunt which he was lauded for. He also nursed Tiz Arrior after the great chasm struck. Later Owen would fight against Argent Heinkel the knight, but lose. Owen then asks Tiz to protect Caldisla in his place shortly before dying in his arms.
