Slowga

Slowga in Bravely Default

Slowga (スロウガ, Surouga?) is a recurring spell in the Bravely series that lowers the speed of a enemies to a greater effect than the base Slow spell, either by being applied to all targets or by slowing on down further. It is generally part of Time Magic or a related magic skillset.

Bravely Default

Slowga is a level 3 Time Magic spell. It lowers all targets' speed by 25%, down to a minimum of 75% the original speed, for four turns. It costs 16 MP to use. It can be purchased in Hartschild for 800 pg.

Bravely Default II

Slowga is a Divination spell, learned at job level 14 for the Oracle. It attempts to slow a target down significantly. It costs 62 MP to use.

Etymology

Slowga originates from the Final Fantasy series, introduced as part of Time Magic in Final Fantasy V, where it reduced the speed of all enemies.

The "-ga" suffix denotes it is an upgraded variant of the Slow spell.
