Spellcraft (ボストスクリプト, Bosutosukuriputo?, lit. Postscript) is an innate skillset for the Wizard in Bravely Second: End Layer. It is used in conjunction with Spirit Magic or any magic type with the Spellcraft ability, also available as a passive ability, and the respective Black Magic, White Magic, B/W Magic, Astral Magic, Holy Magic, Time Magic, Summoning, or Diabolism job commands equipped.

Spellcraft augments a selected spell with additional effects, doing so at the cost of an additional BP along with the MP cost. Spells that always target all enemies or allies, such as all Spirit Magic and Summoning, receive doubled potency when modified by Spellcraft.

Master the Art of Spellcraft

Once you've learned spellcraft, a list of possible modifications will appear each time you select a spell. Fire a frost dart or build a lightning wall! Just remember that crafting will cost additional BP.

*Unlike most magic, spells modified by Hammer seem to be able to utilize weapon bonuses related to monster-family types (such as rods' bonus damage against insects).
Mist 2 30 Inflict effect over multiple turns.
Modify a spell to make it retrigger at the end of each turn.
Recasting the spell while it is already in effect will reset the turn timer, but effects will not stack.

Modify a spell so that it triggers as a counter to enemy physical attacks. Reflected spells will not trigger this effect.

Modify a spell to target selected enemies. Selecting fewer enemies will increase the spell's potency. Certain status-enhancing spells will have their duration doubled.
