Bravely Default Wiki

The Thief is a job in Bravely Default II. It is obtained near the end of chapter 1, and it specializes in using speed as a weapon to steal items and various attributes from enemies.

The Asterisk holder for this job is Bernard, a member of the Council of Elders of the Kingdom of Savalon.

Appearance[]

When using the Thief Asterisk, all characters will sport black pants, a tunic decorated with keys, an elegant cape, and a bandana, which some characters wear over their mouth.

Job overview[]

Thieves are nimble and fleet-flooted, and can steal much more than physical objects.

In-game description.

The Thief specializes in Daggers, with an A proficiency, and they also have a decent B proficiency in several weapons. In spite of not being the best Dagger users, they also possess the Dagger Lore passive to raise Dagger proficiency to an S. Their best stat areas are speed, evasion, and critical chance, though their strength is moderate and their defenses are very weak.

They possess several abilities related to stealing attributes from enemies, such as HP, MP, and BP, as well as wind-imbued physical attacks, and their ultimate ability Godspeed Strike, an extremely potent attack that raises power based on speed and performs a second hit for the same damage after the first one, and turns the Thievery command into one of the best physically offensive skillsets with the right speed-raising equipment.
