BD II Domenic Triplaga

Domenic using Triplaga in Bravely Default II

Triplaga (トリプガ, Toripuga?, lit. Tripga) is a Divination spell in Bravely Default II, available at job level 15 for the Oracle job. It performs up to three powerful fire, water or lightning attacks on a target in quick succession. It costs 110 MP to use.

While Triplaga cannot be group-casted naturally, it can be altered into a group-wide spell with the aid of the Bravebearer's Across the Board passive. When cast on a group of enemies, it will inflict a random Ga-tier spell on each target, but at the cost of sacrificing its potential of making multiple hits.

Domenic uses the spell in all battles against him.

Etymology[]

Triple means consisting of three parts, reflected in the ability performing up to three hits and each hit being one of three elements.

Triple originates from the Final Fantasy series. It was introduced in Final Fantasy VIII as an ability allowing for three spells to be performed at once. However, its influence for the Bravely series appearance likely originates from Final Fantasy XV. Known as Tricast, it randomly performed either the Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder Elemancy spells.

The suffix "-ga" denotes that it is the third spell in the Triple line.
