Etymology[]
The name of the spell Veil originates from the Final Fantasy series, where it appeared as a spell in Final Fantasy XIII that raises a target's resistance to status ailments. However, the function of increasing the evasion of one ally in the Bravely series is similar to the recurring Blink White Magic spell in the Final Fantasy series.
