
Holly White, a recurring series White Mage.
The White Mage (白魔道士, Shiromadōshi?, lit. White Sorcerer) is a recurring job class in the Bravely series. It among the first jobs unlocked in each title, specializing healing and supportive magic. While not strictly an offensive job, the job often also has access to the Aero family of spells and one of strongest light-elemental abilities, Holy.

The White Mage job is one of the first jobs gained. It is obtained (along with Monk) after defeating Barras Lehr and Holly Whyte in the Norende Ravine.
The job must level up to access higher level magic, but in addition the party must have also bought the scroll for the spell from a Magic Shop before the White Mage can cast it regardless of the mage having the prerequisite level.
It has access to all three levels of Wind-element spell as well as the staple, Holy. It also contain the support ability contains Staff Lore, the ability to raise arms aptitude for staves to S.

The White Mage is a job class obtained after defeating Holly Whyte.
The White Mage's primary strength is the ability to cast White Magic, which is primarily focused on healing and other restorative spells, and some offensive Wind spells.
Bravely Default II[]

The White Mage is a support job that is unlocked during the events of the game's prologue chapter by defeating Selene. It is one of the first jobs unlocked in the game.
The job has access to the White Magic command, having an arsenal of magic that includes healing, reviving, status-curing, and defensive buffing spells.
The job also sports high magical stats, particularly in restorative areas, but lacks any offensive magical abilities outside of against undead enemies, and it has low physical stats as well.
Bravely Default: Praying Brage[]

The White Mage was one of the first jobs unlocked in the game for the player character avatars. The job served its traditional supportive role, being able to learn healing and supportive spells. In addition, they had access to the Aero family of spells, allowing them to have some damage utility in combat.
Due to the job's cap of only having access to White Magic up to level 4, the White Mage was a job that could be easily phased out once the player unlocked the Spiritmaster job, which served as the White Mage's upgraded form in Praying Brage. However, White Mages could also gain access to the level 5 and 6 tiers of White Magic, provided if the player could obtain and equip both the Growth and White Devotion Rings to their character as a White Mage.
They were able to equip canes, light armor, and hats.

Etymology[]
The White Mage job originates from the Final Fantasy series of games. Like its Bravely series counterpart, it is often one of the first jobs obtained in entries featuring the job system. Introduced in the original Final Fantasy, it has become a staple to the series, being the dedicated healing and support job, while also having access to light and wind-elemental magics. Certain entries have also featured upgraded forms of the White Mage, such as the White Wizard and the Devout.
